 Nige,
Re your message... hear, hear!! Good players and nice folk!
I have e-mailed the Dutch band who seem very keen to do an exchange trip and am trying to work something out with them as Paul will unfortunately be leaving us soon. ANY help from other band members wil be greatfully received as I haven't done this kind of thing before! Help!
Steve.

Hi. It's me again. Alan I neglected to tell you what a great site this is.
Firstly can I say welcome to all the new players in the band or nearly new and secondly to the whole band for their efforts over the past year.
The year is flying by yet again and changes are afoot.
WHEN ARE WE GOING ON A TRIP ABROAD?????????
Bye for now.
Nige

Cheers

Well done to everybody that played yesterday at Kingston. It was so clear that the birthday boy was overwhelmed by our playing (although when conducting "Happy Birthday" he did need to bring Flugel in a couple of times!)I hope in the future the band can accept more jobs like this one, maybe with a bigger band too.

HI every one, it's me the soloist.
I would like to take this oppotunity to thank everyone for accompanying me with my new Flugel solo CD. I think it went very well except for the Bass Trombone who sounded like a someone passing wind. Never mind.
On a more serious note, I really feel sad that Paul Slater will be leaving us in the near future. I, as well as many others will miss his company and his playing..........His playing reminded me of being on board a Navy ship( FOG HORN)
Good luck paul.
Nige.

Congratulations to everyone who played at Eastry. A lovely afternoon, with some good music too.

Congratulations to the Yardley family on the birth of Jack on Friday the 27th.
Glad to hear that both mum and Jack are doing well.
Special thanks to them both for letting Ian play on Saturday evening.
Rumour has it that there is already a tiny Eb bass waiting to be tried out!!!

Why no one sign guest book no more?
PS
It was nice to have Flugel Horn sitting between Baritones and Tenor Horns, now I know what a Flugel sounds like....I always thought they sounded like a horn from a vintage car!

Hi Penfold,
The sunspecs belong to the good looking second horn player. Believe it or not she lost them twice in one day!
See you thursday,
Steve.
